We are excited to share details about the upcoming session of our Spanish Immersion Saturday School, running from [September 12, 2026] to [June 12, 2027]. In December, we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of our program, highlighting our long-standing commitment to bilingual education.
This is ChiCeLaCu’s founding program. It offers a play-based, long-term curriculum designed to help students achieve full bilingualism. We welcome heritage speakers, proficient speakers, and language learners ages 3.5 to 12. The program includes structured academic goals, homework, and regular updates on student progress through parent-teacher conferences, reports, and interactive class presentations, ensuring parents stay informed and engaged.
Location Details:
Tysons Corner/Vienna/Falls Church Area: Offers a Spanish Preschool Immersion Program (starting at age 3.5 for children who have completed prior childcare/preschool and are fully potty trained) and an elementary program for 1st through 6th grade. We offer tracks for both highly proficient speakers and language learners, with placement based on age and proficiency. Beginner students are only accepted from Preschool to first grade.
Fairfax City/Oakton/Fairfax Station Area: Accepts students from kindergarten through 1st grade.
Family participation is the foundation of our success, and we invite you to join our community to support your child’s language journey.
Spanish for heritage and highly proficient speakers:
This accelerated program applies the Spanish for Native Speakers curriculum and places a strong emphasis on reading, writing, grammar, handwriting, geography, and history. Children joining this program are already fluent or highly proficient in the language, and thus greater focus is placed upon developing more advanced verbal, reading, and writing competencies.
Spanish for language learners
ChiCeLaCu welcomes children new to the language as well as those at the beginner and intermediate levels. Conversational fluency is achieved and/or improved through fun, interactive activities, including storytelling, arts and crafts, drawing, poetry, music, reading, writing, plays, and role playing.
